wow...
it's been a crazy week! I thought I would post, just so I can stay in the routine and take a moment to stop my head from spinning! It hasn't been so much with work, but rather with a very sick dog (and emergency major surgery), the adoption of a niece finalized, my wife getting a full time job, and a few other things I will spare you for now...
Do you have those weeks where you can't seem to get any work done? Should I feel bad about this?
Today I met with the LSS rep. in our area and she was wonderful to talk with and I realized again that LSS and the whole LSA network is something we should all be proud of that it exists. I also learned about so many more congregation programs they offer--there are tons of them.
Ok, enough. I have to get cracking again on that sermon for sunday. The John 17 text is brutal for me to wade through. It seems like a run-on paragraph/prayer. Do you think Jesus should have shortened it a bit--i.e. sermon on the mount hint to the Pharisees...???
God's peace to your week. Those of you I crossed paths this week with--it was great to see you. Paz

It was great to see you too Chad. I'm glad we could chat as we did. I hope your day off went well. And i hope your puppy will be okay.
See you again soon!
that Jesus guy does have a long prayer their in John 17. i was toying with preaching on the psalm - walking in the paths the lord lays before us, or on acts - what does it mean that as the apostles all died they were replaced by people God had sent to fulfill the mission of proclamation and that now includes us.
sorry to hear about the challenges with the dog, and i hope recovery goes well. i am excited for your bride and her new employment, and for final issues of adoption to be completed.
A Lutheran pastor on a "journey" - ?? - from reading your, "About You..."
Just heard Garrison Keillor say Unitarians do "journeys," but not Lutherans. Lutherans reside in a might fortress of a God.
Of course he also says there's a Tomb of the Unknown Norwegian, but never noticed one when I was in DC.
wow man- life seems to be spinning....hope you made it through the rest of the week. know you are being thought of in Michigan.
